Hi Indanila, Thank you for reading my hub. The Chinese Zodiac consist of 12 'animal' signs and the dragon is the only mystical 'animal' among the other 11 signs. Also the dragon was always associated with luck, power, and good things as perceived by most.I think that is why most Chinese would like their children to be born in the year of the dragon.
Each year is represented by an animal sign over a cycle of 12 years. I will be writing a hub for each 'animal' and what 2012 is in store for them. This year is the year of the dragon and this hub is for those born in the years of the sheep.
I think i will write another hub readers to first identify which animal year they belong to and then link them to the corresponding page.

Hi theastrology, thank you for stopping by. I have to admit that I am no astrologer. It was a request of a fellow hubber who asked me to write about the animal signs because she didn't know what sign she fell under. So my work is a combination of several articles that I have read and combined. Only thing original is the poem I compose at the end of the hub.

Interesting hub, I thought it was the year of the dragon though. I read an article stating the Chinese American pregnancy rate is increasing due to people wanting their children to be born in the year of the dragon. I don't quite understand their zodiac, well I guess any zodiac for that matter. Voted interesting!!!!
